Work With Us

Is Fabrik Labs the right fit?

We'd rather help you make a good decision than close a deal that isn't right for either of us. This page exists to help you figure out where you stand — honestly. If we're not the right partner for what you're working on, we'll tell you, and we'll try to point you in a better direction.

You're probably a fit if...

  • +

You have a clear vision for a tool or product — something purpose-built for your org or your users — and you're not sure how to make it real.

  • +

Your team has outgrown its current tools and the workarounds are starting to cost more than the software itself.

  • +

You have an idea for a tool, product, or app you want to bring to life but aren't sure where to start.

  • +

You're a nonprofit or ed-tech organization that wants a long-term partner — someone invested in whether the software actually works, not just whether it gets built.

  • +

You want help figuring out what to build before you commit to building it.

  • +

You have the budget for a real engagement. Our projects start at $7,000, and most client relationships run for a year or more. We're not the right call if you need something fast and cheap.

We're probably not the right fit if...

  • You have a detailed spec and need someone to execute it quickly and cheaply.

  • You're comparing vendors primarily on price.

  • You need someone to maintain or take over software we didn't build.

  • You're not ready to invest time in a discovery process before development starts — we'll always want to understand the problem before we start solving it.

Why Fabrik over a dev-focused shop?

Most dev shops are great at building what you hand them. The problem is that most teams aren't sure exactly what to hand them — and a shop that jumps straight to execution won't tell you that.

We start every new engagement with a strategy-first process. Before any code gets written, we help you validate your assumptions, align your team, and make sure you're solving the right problem. That's not overhead — it's how you avoid building the wrong thing. Our longest client relationships started exactly this way: slow down, get aligned, then build with confidence.

We've also built a free Build vs. Buy Assessment for teams who aren't sure whether custom software is the right call at all. Most consultancies won't ask that question because the answer might cost them the project. We'd rather you make the right call.

Not sure yet?

That's okay — it's a real decision. A couple of ways to move forward at your own pace:

If you want to think it through yourself, our free Build vs. Buy Assessment takes about 5 minutes and will help you understand where you stand before we ever talk.

If you'd rather just have a conversation, book a 30-minute call. No pitch, no commitment — just an honest discussion about what you're working on and whether we're the right fit.
